To say I love beaches would be understatement. I wish I could just sit all day on a beach, and do nothing at all. Or just take in the sun, swim in the water, enjoy beachside food and party on the beach by the bonfire. Oh, what a life would that be. But then who would write this blog for you informing you of the best 5 beaches around the world I would love to visit again. So here goes. I’ll be telling you about the best beaches around the world, each having a unique feature. If you are a beach lover like me, you would love to visit them too.
Mandrem Beach, Goa, India
Goa is a packed with beaches, but most of these beaches are packed with tourists. Except for Mandrem Beach. Located in North Goa, this beach is a local secret not known to tourists. Only a few manage to find it. What’s unique about the beach is the peace and quiet. There are no watersports or other activities ongoing. People just come to relax, and enjoy the sunset. There are many huts and shacks around that you can rent out during your beach sojourn. They provide respite from Goa’s harsh sun. There are also many beachside food joints that serve lip-smacking Goan cuisine. You have to eat at the beachside. Nobody cooks fish better than the Goans. I would suggest booking a beachside resort, so, you can get to the beach quickly. Nearby is Arambol Beach and you can enjoy the party scenario over there. But for tranquility, and the best sunset, head to Mandrem Beach in Goa. It will be an unforgettable experience.
Radhanagar Beach, Havelock Island, Andaman Islands, India
Now that’s quite an address, but is completely worth it. Radhanagar Beach is one of the most naturally beautiful beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. I still remember standing on the beach and thinking to myself, how can a beach be so beautiful? But this place really is, and understandably so, as the rest of the Havelock Island is also blessed with a lot of natural beauty. Radhanagar Beach is famous for snorkelling. I love snorkelling, so, I dove into the water with my kit. The water is clean and there is a lot of marine life to see around. Though the place has a few tourists, the beach is very clean and well-maintained. Getting around the island is a little difficult, as transportation is not well-developed, but that’s what adds more to this already charming island. I would suggest make Radhanagar Beach a family or friend’s group trip, as there are a lot of group activity options.
Railay Beach, Thailand
Thailand is a nation known for its beaches. The areas near Thailand are made up tiny islands that have unique features. I’ve travelled to many of these islands and their beaches, but the one that stood out for me was Railay Beach. Why? Because of one activity that cannot be done anywhere else – rock climbing. How many beaches have the option of rock climbing nearby? Not many. At Railay Beach, you can head to the nearby limestone rock cliffs where there are instructors with professional equipment ready to teach you rock climbing. The beach looks even better from these cliffs. On the powder white beach, you can take a swim, snorkel, enjoy watersports, and do all that you can do on a beach. Getting to Railay Beach is also quite an adventure as you have get here through a choppy long boat ride.
Palawan Beach, Sentosa Island, Singapore
When I am in the mood to party, have an adventure, and just have nonstop fun, I head to Palawan Beach on Sentosa Island. From a themed waterpark to party beach bars, this place has it all. I catch a cable car ride from mainland Singapore. This is an experience in itself. On the beach, during the day, you can enjoy yourself at the Port of Lost Wonder Waterpark. Then you can relax on the beach for some time in the beach shelters. In the evening, head to the Cabana style beach bars where you can drink and dance the night away with all the movers and shakers of Singapore. So, if you are looking for a party beach with awesome attractions, I strongly recommend you come to Palawan Beach in Singapore.
The Corniche, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Now I found this beach to be one of the most unique places in the world. So what is the Corniche? This is a walled beach on Abu Dhabi’s coastline. There are other Corniches in other emirates as well, but the one in Abu Dhabi is the best. Whenever I visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi, I make sure I come here to catch the sunset. One reason I love this place is the parks nearby. Right on the beach, there are many parks and play areas full of play equipment. It totally makes me want to be a child again. After enjoying here, I go to the many beachside shacks serving the most delicious food I have eaten in Abu Dhabi. Just the smells will make you hungry. Then as the sun goes down, the whole atmosphere puts you in a state of relaxation. This place is quite different from the usual hustle and bustle of Abu Dhabi. This beach is must-visit for all beach lovers.
So, here they are, my list of the top 5 beaches around the world. I know I am going to go to all of them again. When are you?
